Week 6

This week we have learnt techniques on final cut to help make out documentary look more entertaining. By following these techniques it will help out documentary follow the conventions.

Techniques learnt:

• Split screen/ quad screen
• Zooming in on a photograph
• Moving objects in the canvas
• Picture in picture effect

Week 5

Finished the pre-production and now we are ready to film, we just need to decide what we are filming first and also get in touch with a staff member at game station or another gaming shop in Warrington.

Week 4

We have organized our folders and done the pre production work that needed to be done so that when it comes to filming we know what we are filming and where we are doing it, the basic structure of the documentary is coming together and we have an idea of how the into video is going to be. once all the research has been done we will be able to start filming soon.

Week 3

Final idea

We have decided on the final idea, it will be 'the passion of gaming', in this we will show the positives the negatives, addiction and the stereo type behind gamers. At the end of the documentary we will show a tournament between the class to show the passion that people have when playing games.

Week 2

Idea generation week

We have done some idea generation sheets and have narrowed it down to two idea, one of them is a documentary about documentaries, we will show the viewers about the documentaries conventions whilst using them to explain them to get the audience to realize what is happening and how biased it can be. The other idea is going to be a gaming documentary, we we have a few ideas about how we can do this and make it entertaining for the audience and give a reason behind the documentary.
